Christian Education Foundation
Financial Assistance for College Students
The Christian Education Foundation is an extension of First Christian Church. CEF’s ministry focuses on providing financial aid in the form of grants to qualified young men and women to attend college in preparation for any vocational field, however, special financial consideration is given to students who are pursuing Christian Ministry or related full-time Christian work. Since CEF was founded in 1945, over 100 students have benefitted from the foundation. Committee members meet once a year to review applications and determine award amounts, which may vary.
This application is for active partners of First Christian Church who are or will be, pursuing a college undergraduate degree. An active partner, as defined by this committee, is someone who has engaged in active participation in the Student Ministry program and/or has demonstrated service in a First Christian Church ministry for at least one year.
The 2025-26 school year New Student applications and renewal letter deadline is May 17th, 2025.
The 2024 spring semester application and renewal letter deadline is November 24th, 2024.
*If you have already been approved by the CEF committee for funding for the entire 2024-2025 school year, then you DO NOT need to submit a renewal letter for the Spring 2025 semester. This deadline is only for students who did not submit a renewal letter by the May 18, 2024 deadline.
CEF is now accepting applications for the 2025 Spring semester. For more information and questions about applying contact the CEF Chairperson, Bill Robinson (bigbillrobinson@gmail.com), or our Student Ministry Pastor, Scott Tuersley (stuersley@firstchristian.com).

What Students Are Saying
“I cannot thank the Christian Education Foundation enough for their generxosity. Not only have they blessed me financially, but they have also supported me emotionally and prayerfully. This means a lot to me because it shows me that they truly care about my situation and my future. I am very grateful for their encouragement and their prayers! Thank you!"
— Casey Maurrasse
“CEF grants made it possible for me to study and pursue a field to minister with, to reach into stateside and international communities, continue to develop my faith walk, be encouraged through financial and prayer support, and make lasting friendships. My faith has grown in small and big ways, and I continue to be extremely grateful for God's provision.”
— Noah Musselman
“As a full time student, it is often difficult to juggle my classes, volunteer work and resume building, and a job. The foundation has provided financial relief that has allowed me to spend my time focusing more on school instead of how many hours I can work in a week. I am very grateful for the generosity they have shown me!”
