Washington Square
Everyone’s invited because we believe Jesus is for all people.
That means he’s for you. Your past doesn’t disqualify you. Your current circumstances don’t limit God’s desire to work in and through your life. And your future isn’t dictated by your record, your reputation, or your reservations. FCC is a place where people from all walks of life come together to find hope, purpose, and a place to belong.
You are welcome here! You’ll find a safe place to connect with others and explore your faith. Wherever you are on your journey, you matter to God and there’s a place for you here. We invite you to come as you are to experience “church” in a fresh way.
NEW HERE?
We can't wait to meet you! As you approach the campus on Market Avenue, there are two entrances to the parking lot. Turn in here and you’ll find our main entrance near the flagpoles, facing the street. Handicap-accessible parking is located in the parking lot to the left of that entrance. Once you enter the building, you'll see the Welcome Center straight ahead, the cafe on your left and Kids’ Ministry check-in on your right (look for the bright orange tables). Our friendly hospitality team staffs the Welcome Center and they' will answer any questions and show you around.
If you’re coming for Wednesday night programming for 4th-12th grades, you’ll make your way to the Community Life Center, located just south of the main building. When you turn enter the campus from Market Avenue, just turn right and make your way around the main building. You’ll see the CLC near the pond and walking trail.

A Few Things You Might Like to Know
-
What Do I Wear?
Wear what's comfortable for you! Sundays at FCC are pretty laid back, so you don't need to stress about dressing up. Feel free to dress casually. We do.
Do I need to bring anything?
Bringing yourself is more than enough! Our coffee shop is open before and after each worship service if you want to grab a drink or snack. You’re welcome to bring those into the auditorium with you. You'll notice some people like to bring a Bible or notebook with them, but it won't be weird if you don't. We've got Bibles available for you to take home, or you can download the free Bible app on your phone.
What will my kids do?
Whatever's best for you is great for us! Your kids are welcome to stay with you during the service, or you can check them into one of our awesome children's ministry environments for ages birth-fifth grade. Also - our cafe areas are great places to sit and grab a free treat and warm up to new surroundings!
-
How will I be greeted?
All of our campuses will have friendly faces ready to welcome you! We want you to feel at home from the moment you walk in. God loves you no matter what and so will we!
How will I know where to go?
No one likes feeling lost in a new place, so we've made it easy for you to find your way. Every campus has clear signage pointing you in the right direction, and anyone wearing a name tag is ready and waiting to help you out!
Where is the “Welcome Center?”
The Welcome Center (located just inside the main entrance) would be a great first stop. You’ll find friendly people who will welcome you, answer your questions and help you find things like our auditorium, cafe, places for your kids, etc.
What do I do before service?
Our cafe areas are perfect places for you to grab coffee, water, or snacks and find community. We're all about creating spaces where you can meet people and make friends who can help you explore faith and the church. And if you're running late, don't worry! There'll be plenty of time after service to connect!

Every campus has clean, safe, fun spaces designed just for your kids, and friendly volunteers ready to greet them and ensure that they have a blast as the learn about the love of God!
How do I check in my kids for the first time?
Volunteers will be at the Kids’ Check-In area (look for the bright orange tables in the lobby) with a tablet ready to help you get your information entered and your kids checked in. They’ll talk you through what you’ll need to pick up your kids and direct you to the right room(s) too!
Want to save yourself a step? Pre-register your kids so you can simply check in when you get here!
What do you do to keep my kids safe?
Here are three key ways we keep your kids safe while in our care:
Every volunteer in your kid's ministry area has been vetted and background-checked. Additionally, they are a part of a team who works together to make sure each kid's needs are met.
Our kids' spaces are locked 15 minutes after each service begins to ensure only the people who need to be there are in the children's area. Each room is also equipped with security cameras.
At check-in, your child receives a name tag with a unique code. You will receive a parent tag with your child's matching code, which MUST be shown to check your child out at the end of service. The codes change from week to week, so tags cannot be recycled.
Our kids’ ministry team is there to make check-in easy for you and secure for your kids. Thank you for helping us keep your kids safe!
How will I know if my child needs me during service?
If something comes up with your child and you're needed, we will send a text directly to your phone from our team notifying you to come to your child's room.
-
Where will I sit?
Sit where you feel comfortable! Whether you prefer to sneak in the back row or you like a front-row seat, you don’t have to worry about taking someone’s spot. If you have trouble finding an open section, our volunteers by the doors would love to help you find somewhere to sit!
How long will the service last?
Our services are designed to be about an hour long. This time includes moments of music, teaching, video, reflection, and spiritual direction! Every part of the service is clearly explained, so you won’t have to guess what to do or when to sit or stand.
What is the music like?
We play modern, high-energy worship songs along with reflective, powerful moments of praise. You'll be invited to sing along, but you can participate however you're comfortable!
What are the messages like?
You can check out what our messages feel like by watching here! Each one teaches what the Bible says about topics relevant to your life and gives you practical steps to grow and take a step in your journey with God.
What is “communion?”
We take communion together each week during our services as a way of remembering and honoring Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. We practice open communion, meaning that anyone who believes in Jesus is welcome to participate. Remember to grab communion elements as you walk into the auditorium and take them whenever you’re ready. If you’d rather not participate, that’s ok too. If you’re watching online, have some crackers and juice ready so you can participate when we get to that part of the service.
Will I have to give to the offering?
Giving is a way that people who call FCC home or who have been blessed by the ministry of the church can worship through practicing generosity. We do not pass offering trays or buckets in our service, but we do have places to give online and throughout our campus lobby. As our guest, please don’t feel obligated to give unless you’d like to. You’re welcome to visit our Give page for more information.

If you would like prayer, our prayer team will be under the cross (left side of the auditorium in front of the stage) and also available online directly following each service.
We’d love to meet you if you haven’t introduced yourself yet! Stop by the Welcome Center to say “hello” and pick up a free gift as our way of saying “great to meet you!”
